Job summary

TipTopJob seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead a growing finance function in Leeds. The role covers timely financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance across multiple entities, with both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement.

You'll work closely with senior management to drive improvements in processes and systems, deliver accurate management information, and support business planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical capability.
• Experience at Financial Controller level.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and group consolidations.
• Experience managing external audits and lender relationships.
• Experience in property, hospitality and/or construction advantageous.
• Excellent Excel and wider IT skills.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills.
• Detail-focused with a track record of improving processes, systems and financial reporting.
• Proactive, tenacious and capable of owning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Review and enhance monthly financial reporting processes for timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) across entities.
• Prepare Board reporting packs with commentary and analysis.
• Produce weekly cash flow forecasts (short and long term).
• Improve monthly consolidation processes.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for UK and overseas entities.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders on year-end accounts and covenant reporting.
• Support lender update meetings and covenant reporting.
