Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to join our SME client in West Yorkshire. You will report to the business leader and sit on the leadership team, managing all financial activities across the business.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, monthly management accounts, group reporting, payroll, cash flow, and controls. You will influence decision making with senior leadership and have autonomy over the finance function.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified finance professionals preferred.
• Qualified by experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Supporting group reporting requirements and financial consolidations.
• Assisting with year-end processes.
• Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.
• Processing and ownership of payroll.
• Daily and weekly cash flow management and forecasting.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Providing financial analysis and performance insights to management.
• Reviewing and improving financial controls and procedures.
• Streamlining finance processes and reporting.

As a Financial Controller you will report directly to the business leader, being an integral part of the leadership team and working closely with group finance, you will be responsible for managing all financial activities across the business.

Description

Profile

• Previous experience in a standalone Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Financial Controller position.
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified finance professionals are preferred, qualified by experience will be considered.
• A proactive and hands on approach.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
• The confidence to operate independently and take ownership of the finance function.
