Alvarez & Marsal Manchester is seeking a seasoned Financial Accountant to join the Finance Team. You will support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany processes across the EMEA region, collaborating with external advisors and auditors.

Strong Excel, ERP experience, and a solid grasp of local GAAP are essential. The role involves coordinating VAT filings, supporting audits, and ensuring timely statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 5-7 years’ experience in industry.
• Experience in VAT preparation, review and submission is desirable.
• Experience of supporting the preparation of local GAAP financial statements.

Responsabilités

• Completing monthly close to global deadlines including preparation and posting of month-end journals
• Review of monthly reconciliation files including Revenue, Balance Sheet, Payroll, and identify differences
• Review of quarterly intercompany reconciliations and invoicing, coordinating with treasury for intercompany settlements
• Assist with audits and ensure timely audit completion and submission of Financial Statements
• Support VAT and other fiscal returns and ensure timely reporting to local authorities
• Assist in data review and testing during ERP implementation and workflow updates
• Maintain robust control environment and ensure regulatory compliance across entities
