Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Interim Technical Accountant in Bristol for 3-6 months to support technical accounting during a growth phase. The role focuses on acquisition accounting, consolidation and FRS 102, working closely with auditors and lenders.

You will lead technical accounting activities and provide expert input across consolidation and acquisition accounting, acting as a pivotal liaison with external auditors while supporting complex reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting experience, ideally in a complex or acquisitive environment.
• Proven experience with group consolidations and acquisition accounting.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and accounting standards.
• Experience working directly with auditors and lenders.
• Must be a qualified accountant.
• Excellent communication skills at senior stakeholder level.
• Hands-on, pragmatic approach with ability to make an immediate impact.
• Available to start at short notice.

The role will have a strong focus on acquisition accounting, consolidation and FRS 102, working closely with the wider finance team as well as external auditors and lenders.
