Qualifications

• ICAS/ACCA qualified with industry experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills; tax knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with statutory accounts, corporation tax, and FRS 102.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strategic and commercial awareness.
• Proactive in improving processes and controls.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing insights.
• Strong IT skills, especially in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve monthly balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Ensure accuracy of trade debtors, trade creditors, and GRNI balances.
• Calculate monthly bad debt provisions.
• Manage HP agreements, leased asset reporting.
• Prepare monthly banking reports and support bi-annual audits.
• Enhance cash flow forecasting procedures.
• Develop monthly financial reporting packs.
• Assist in statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit delivery.
• Oversee payment practices reporting.
• Gain deep ERP system knowledge and provide support.
• Collaborate across finance functions and contribute to ad hoc projects.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a large, multisite UK organisation as a Senior Financial Accountant. This role offers the chance to contribute to a well-established finance function, supporting both operational and strategic financial activities in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and improve monthly balance sheet reconciliation processes
• Ensure accuracy of trade debtors, trade creditors, and GRNI balances
• Calculate monthly bad debt provisions
• Manage HP agreements, leased asset reporting, and support IFRS16 implementation
• Prepare monthly banking reports and support bi-annual audits
• Enhance cash flow forecasting procedures
• Develop monthly financial reporting packs for senior finance leadership
• Assist in statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit delivery
• Oversee payment practices reporting
• Gain deep ERP system knowledge and provide support across the finance team
