Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority seeks a Senior Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial support across a major programme and business units. You will drive robust planning, insightful analysis and strong financial control for projects valued at over £50 million, partnering with senior leaders to influence decision-making and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on multimillion-pound projects.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, revenue recognition and grants accounting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main finance contact for a major programme or business unit.
• Analyse financial performance and produce reports, forecasts and commentary.
• Lead budgeting, planning and forecasting at project and unit levels.
• Provide financial reports for major grants within timescales.
• Ensure expenditure and revenue are recognised in line with policies.
• Maintain controls and supporting audit documentation.
• Coordinate audits and respond to audit requirements.
• Provide financial leadership and coaching to project teams.
• Develop finance staff through training and supervision.
• Support improvements to finance processes and reporting systems.
