Job summary

National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking a highly experienced Finance Business Partner to support the Major Programmes investment portfolio. You will provide financial insight, analysis and strategic guidance to senior stakeholders across diverse, high-profile engineering projects.

Working within a governance framework, you will lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, develop models, and challenge assumptions to optimise delivery and regulatory outcomes in a Warwick-based, hybrid

Qualifications

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA with post-qualification experience.
• Experience providing challenge and clear financial recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Experience line-managing staff and allocating work.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with detailed analysis.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and making sound judgements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted senior finance partner to Major Programmes project teams and leadership.
• Build relationships across Major Programmes to understand priorities and allocate resources.
• Lead finance input into key decisions, translating complex issues into actions.
• Line-manage a direct report and support recruitment and development.
• Lead development of robust financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Provide forward-looking analysis on performance, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure regulatory considerations are reflected in plans and reporting.
• Present clear financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee performance and drive corrective action where needed.
• Develop financial models for investment decisions and delivery scenarios.
