Venn Group is recruiting a Senior Finance Officer in Manchester for a hybrid NHS contract. You will lead complex financial issue investigations, analyse data across multiple systems, and support senior financial decision-making within delegated authority.

The role involves reconciliation, cross-team collaboration, and enhancing financial controls within a busy NHS environment. The position is a temporary assignment based in Manchester with hybrid working between home and office.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Experience within an NHS organisation
• Experience investigating and resolving complex financial issues
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong reconciliation and financial systems experience
• Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and communicate financial information effectively
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple finance systems

Responsibilities

• Leading the investigation and resolution of complex legacy finance issues
• Analysing financial data across multiple systems to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
• Supporting financial decision-making within delegated authority levels
• Providing expertise and guidance on complex finance queries and system issues
• Performing detailed reconciliations and financial reviews to ensure data accuracy
• Working closely with finance, operational and commissioning teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve reporting and enhance financial processes
