Venn Group is recruiting a Senior Finance Officer for an NHS organisation in Manchester on a temporary basis. The role is hybrid, with 37.5 hours per week and ASAP start, focusing on resolving legacy finance issues and supporting key financial decisions across multiple systems.

You will apply CA-level expertise to lead investigations, reconcile complex data, and work with diverse teams to strengthen controls and reporting in a large NHS finance environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with NHS finance exposure.
• Experience investigating and resolving complex financial issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to reconcile financial data across multiple systems.
• Skilled at communicating financial information to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience handling large datasets and multi-system environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex legacy finance issues.
• Analyse financial data across multiple systems to identify discrepancies and fix solutions.
• Support financial decision-making within delegated authority levels.
• Provide expertise on complex finance queries and system issues.
• Perform detailed reconciliations and financial reviews for data accuracy.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and commissioning teams to improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and enhance reporting.
