Job summary

Venn Group is recruiting a Finance Officer for an NHS organisation in Manchester on a temporary basis. The role focuses on invoice processing, reconciliations and backlog resolution, with hybrid working between home and office.

You will support high-volume transactions, work with multiple finance systems and collaborate with both operational and finance teams to maintain accurate records and reporting. Immediate start available for 37.5 hours per week.

Finance Officer - Manchester (Hybrid) - NHS Contract

Venn Group's specialist finance recruitment team is recruiting for a Finance Officer on behalf of NHS Organisation in Manchester. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to support a high-profile team, providing vital finance support across invoice processing, reconciliations and backlog resolution activities.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Processing high volumes of invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
• Completing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies across multiple finance systems
• Managing provider and supplier queries, ensuring timely resolution
• Performing finance system checks, data validation and quality assurance activities
• Supporting the resolution of legacy finance issues and backlogs
• Working closely with operational and finance colleagues across the organisation
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reporting requirements

About you

• Previous experience within a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or similar finance role within an NHS organisation
• Experience of invoice processing, reconciliations and query resolution
• Ability to work across finance systems and manage large volumes of transactional data
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
