Job summary

Optimum Golf Technologies Limited is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead, second-in-command to the Finance Director, to take ownership of day-to-day accounting in a UK SME (£10M–£50M turnover).

You will manage month-end close, budgeting, KPI reporting, and year-end audits, while overseeing AP/AR, VAT, PAYE/CIS and cash flow. The role requires qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or part-qualification and strong Excel with Xero/Sage/NetSuite experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or part-qualified.
• UK SME or mid-market experience with £10M–£50M turnover.
• Ability to lead or supervise at least one direct report.

Responsibilities

• Lead full month-end close with reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist in budgeting and rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Develop and distribute KPI insights to department heads.
• Prepare year-end pack and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee AP/AR, VAT, PAYE/CIS and bank reconciliations.
