Job summary

A growing, product led SME in Cambridge is searching for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function. You'll prepare management accounts, manage cashflow, and oversee financial controls. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in finance within an SME setting, be qualified or part-qualified, and possess strong Excel skills. Enjoy a hybrid work model and a salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience. This position allows you to make a real impact in a fast-moving business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on finance role, ideally within an SME environment.
• Enjoy taking ownership across the full finance cycle.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.
• Managing cashflow and maintaining strong financial controls.
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales invoicing and reconciliations.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Working closely with operational teams to understand costs and margins.
• Supporting year-end and liaising with external accountants.
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
• Overseeing and signing off payroll.
