About the role

This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract. We are looking for experienced individuals to join our expanding Finance team. As Deliveroo grows in scale and complexity, we need dynamic, entrepreneurial, analytical thinkers to support the business. You will report to our Group Financial Controller and be based at our HQ in Cannon Street, London, operating on a hybrid model.

This is a key role within the accounting and financial reporting team, responsible for a significant part of our main business operations.

What you'll do

• Oversee and review the month-end reporting for your regions.
• Partner with other financial reporting managers and finance teams to ensure timely completion of month-end processes across the Group.
• Ensure operational and documented financial controls across the business.
• Lead local audits and contribute to Group audits, including regulatory and tax inspections where applicable.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of local statistics.
• Provide technical accounting guidance with a strong understanding of IFRS.
• Manage a small team, responsible for performance management, development, review, and coaching.
• Lead specific ad hoc projects related to our processes.
• Explore automation opportunities to improve finance processes and workflows.

Requirements

• ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification with at least 4 years post-qualified experience.
• Preferably relevant industry or startup experience.
• Ability to leverage big data to solve problems.
• Netsuite experience is a plus.
• Flexible, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills across all levels and departments.
• Ability to simplify complex accounting information for non-accountants.
