Finance Manager | 6-Month Contract FTC

Harmonic is collaborating with a fast-growing, private equity-backed scale-up to find a Finance Manager. This 6-month contract position is based in London (Hybrid) and offers the chance to play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of a rapidly evolving business during a crucial period of expansion.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage essential financial functions such as financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, and driving process improvements throughout the finance department. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial management experience from a scale-up or private equity-backed company and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Providing strategic financial analysis and insights to senior leadership
• Managing month-end close processes and ensuring accuracy in financial statements
• Supporting cash flow management and forecasting
• Leading financial compliance and ensuring VAT and tax returns are up-to-date
• Assisting with financial system improvements
• Supporting the CFO with ad hoc financial queries and projects
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to improve financial visibility and decision-making
• Experience in financial management, ideally within a scale-up or PE-backed company
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with VAT compliance and tax returns
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or pursuing qualification

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-growth or startup environments
• Fintech, Financial Services or Tech company experience
• Duration: 6-month contract
• Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2/3 days per week in the office)
