Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Financial Control Lead to provide independent financial oversight, technical accounting expertise and constructive challenge across Lines of Service. You will work with Business Partnering, FinOps and FR&C teams to ensure outcomes are accurate and aligned with standards.

You will build relationships, apply professional scepticism, support complex accounting decisions and drive improvements in financial control processes, maintaining a robust control environment year-round.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or international equivalent.
• Experience in financial control, accounting, audit or related finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, controls and governance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent financial control oversight and technical accounting expertise, ensuring reporting is accurate and compliant.
• Review and challenge financial results, accounting matters and control risks with sound judgement.
• Lead financial control activities across reporting cycles, audits and assurance processes with proper documentation and timely issue resolution.
• Build trusted relationships across Finance and business teams, driving continuous improvement and coaching others.
