Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Financial Control Lead to provide independent financial oversight, technical accounting expertise and constructive challenge across assigned lines of service. You will work with Business Partnering, FinOps and wider FR&C teams to ensure accurate, supportable outcomes in line with firm policies and standards.

You will lead control activities, review complex accounting matters, and drive continuous improvement in control processes, maintaining a robust year-round control

Qualifications

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent).
Strong technical accounting knowledge and judgement in complex situations.
Experience in financial control, accounting, audit or related finance environment.

Responsibilities

Provide independent financial control oversight and technical accounting expertise across reporting cycles.
Review and challenge financial results, accounting matters and control risks with sound judgement.
Lead financial control activities with strong documentation, evidence and governance across cycles and audits.
Build trusted relationships across Finance and business teams, driving improvement and providing guidance.
