Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an outstanding finance team and organisation in a senior management accounts role.

You will be responsible for the management and performance of the Trust's financial management function and deputising for the Head of Finance. As the "Senior Finance Business Partner Financial Management" you will co-ordinate the provision of a professional and efficient financial management services across the Trust. Delivering overall timely, meaningful, accurate financial performance information that underpins internal and external reporting and provides the foundation for short and long-term strategic decision making.

You will have previous NHS experience and will be expected to provide professional financial management advice, helping to deliver efficiently, effectively and with integrity the Trust's goals and objectives. You will be a qualified accountant with excellent communication skills and a track record of successfully coordinating the delivery of timely and accurate financial information. You will be an influential team player who can use your collaborative style to empower and motivate key stakeholders in this exciting and challenging role.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will deputise for the Head of Finance and be a key member of the Financial Management Team with responsibility for managing the Management Accounts and CIP function.

This will involve understanding the core business of the hospital to ensure a responsive and fit-for-purpose financial management function that meets the needs of the Trust.

The role will be required to aid the provision expert strategic financial advice and information to managers and directors, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of management accounts information. This will require participation in effective decision making that leads to the delivery of financial targets and statutory duties, as well as maintaining high quality standards that support the short and long term planning processes.

The role will have line management responsibility over a number of management accountants and will play a key role in the financial and CIP planning feeding into the overall Trust planning process and ensuring that the process is completed to a high standard, meeting all deadlines.
