Michael Page Finance is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner - Group IT to lead the finance support function for a global technology organisation, delivering planning, forecasting, reporting and strategic insight to senior stakeholders across international cost bases.

The role blends leadership, business partnering and project involvement with robust financial control, capital allocation support and continuous improvement across Group IT, with hybrid working and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

  • Experienced Financial Business Partner with minimum of 5 years in a commercial finance function.
  • People management and multi-workstream coordination experience.
  • Budgeting and forecasting expertise, IT company exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting for Group IT.
  • Design and implement Group IT financial processes for G3 controls.
  • Sign off monthly management accounts, journals and reconciliations.
  • Present financials to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage intercompany recharge process for Global Group IT.
  • Provide IT with financial insight for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement financial best practices and process improvements.
  • Support capex business cases and correct cost expensing/capitalisation.

As Senior Finance Business Partner - Group IT, you will lead the finance support function for a global technology organisation, providing financial planning, forecasting, reporting and commercial insight to senior stakeholders. The role combines leadership, business partnering and strategic project involvement, whilst ensuring robust financial control across a significant international cost base.

Description
  • Financial planning: Leading the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process for the Group IT function
  • Financial control: Designing, documenting and implementing Group IT financial processes to ensure full compliance with Groups G3 controls processes for Group IT
  • Financial reporting: Sign off of monthly management accounts including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and internal reporting submissions
  • Communication of financials: Presenting the financials to the budget holders, and key senior stakeholders across the organisation, including Business IT Directors, Finance Directors and Group CFO
  • Recharges: Responsible for the intercompany recharge process for recharges of Global Group IT costs to the Business Units
  • Strategic initiatives: Providing IT with financial insight and recommendations and playing a key role in the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Continuous improvement: Proactively identifying and implementing financial best practise and process improvements across the function
  • Capital allocation: Supporting with capex businesses cases, ensuring that costs are correctly expensed or capitalised in accordance with accounting guidance
Profile
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
  • Experienced Financial Business Partner with minimum of 5 years' experience within the finance department of a commercial organisation
  • People management, coordination of multiple workstreams and supporting team development
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Experience within an IT company or IT Department
Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with minimum 5 years PQE
Skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
