Job summary

DataCareers in London is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to partner with senior Technology and Product leaders, providing commercial financial insight and challenge across investment, planning and performance.

The role focuses on improving financial visibility, strengthening forecasting and ensuring investment decisions are supported by robust analysis. You will work with FP&A and Finance to drive cost efficiency and strategic initiatives in a large, complex environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) is required.
• Experience as a Finance Business Partner in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
• Excellent financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Technology, SaaS, Software, Digital or Product functions.
• Experience with transformation, investment appraisal or business cases.
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior Technology and Product leaders, providing commercial financial insight and challenge.

• Analyse technology spend including development, cloud, infrastructure and supplier costs.
• Support investment prioritisation, resource planning and cost-benefit analysis.
• Develop and review business cases, financial models and scenario analysis.
• Provide financial support for transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
• Track costs, benefits, risks and financial performance.
• Own and improve monthly financial and management reporting.
• Clearly communicate financial performance, risks, opportunities and key cost drivers.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and return on technology investment.
• Provide constructive challenge around spend and investment decisions.
• Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and partner with senior leaders across its Technology and Product functions.

This is a commercially focused finance role providing financial insight, challenge and decision support across technology investment, transformation, planning and performance.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Product, FP&A and Finance, helping improve financial visibility, strengthen forecasting and ensure investment decisions are supported by robust financial analysis.

Skills and experience

• Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Strong Finance Business Partnering / Commercial Finance experience
• Experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally 5,000+ employees
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
• Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
• Proven experience partnering and influencing senior non-finance stakeholders
• Experience supporting Technology, SaaS, Software, Digital or Product functions would be highly advantageous
• Experience supporting transformation, investment appraisal, cost initiatives or business cases
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders
