Job summary

Marks Sattin is seeking a Finance Business Partner in Halifax to work with the Commercial Finance team and senior leaders. You will provide financial insight, drive profitability and support business growth across the organization.

You will partner with stakeholders, lead budgeting and forecasting, and prepare detailed reports with variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Finance Business Partner

Marks Sattin are working with a well-established business to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join its Commercial Finance team in Halifax.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and operational teams, providing financial insight and analysis to drive profitability, improve performance and support business growth.

The role

As Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted financial advisor to stakeholders across the business, helping them understand financial performance and make informed commercial decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with senior management and operational teams to review financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance insights.
• Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, manage costs and drive sustainable growth.
• Providing financial modelling and analysis to support business cases, investment decisions and strategic projects.
• Working collaboratively with teams across sales, marketing and operations.
• Supporting financial controls, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You will be an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with stakeholders across a business.

• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis and business partnering.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
• A proactive, flexible approach and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
