Overview
Reed Finance are currently supporting an established client in the Gatwick area in the recruitment of a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join their team. This pivotal role will lead the Revenue financial planning and analysis team, focusing on optimising financial performance and supporting revenue-focused initiatives across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Analysis and Forecasting: Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, budgets, and financial models for the statutory revenue portfolio (approximately £140m PA). Analyse revenue trends to identify key drivers of growth and potential risks.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans that enhance revenue optimisation. Support the development of long-term financial plans and engage in stakeholder consultations for new revenue opportunities.
- Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor, providing financial insights and guidance on revenue-related matters to business units and colleagues at all levels. Align financial goals with broader business objectives.
- Performance Management: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue and financial performance. Conduct variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and prepare financial reports for senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks associated with revenue streams and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- People Management: Lead the revenue FP&A function, ensuring optimal performance and professional development of team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification is desirable; suitable for a part-qualified accountant with significant experience.
- Proven experience in a finance business partner role, with a strong focus on revenue.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel and ERP systems.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong business acumen and understanding of revenue drivers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, proactive and results-oriented mindset.
