Job description

A versatile Finance Assistant is needed to support the Accounting & Finance department of a well-established Industrial/Manufacturing company in Livingston. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a strong understanding of finance concepts, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Client Details

Our client is a large organisation within the Industrial/Manufacturing industry. They are known for their commitment to innovation and quality, and they have a strong reputation within their sector. The company's operations are based in Livingston, where they have a dedicated and professional team working towards their company goals.

Description
  1. Credit control to chase overdue debts
  2. Manage increases in customer credit limits
  3. Support AP assistant on cash available for weekly payment runs and currency transfers
  4. Update weekly cashflow
  5. Support on UK bank reconciliations
  6. Support the monthly VAT return process
  7. Support on payroll processing
  8. Processing monthly expenses and reconciling credit cards
  9. Maintain company car information for P11d's and provide P11d information to outsourcing payroll provider
  10. Invoice processing to cover annual leave
  11. Matching and reconciling of GRNI
  12. Posting bank statements weekly
  13. Working on the aged debt and chasing outstanding debts
  14. Processing monthly journals
  15. Supporting the accounting process
  16. Liaising with employees on invoicing and expenses
  17. Assisting with payroll
  18. Assisting with statutory audits
  19. Preparing Group Accounts Receivable reporting at month end
  20. Providing project-based support as required by the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director
Profile

A successful Senior Finance Assistant should have:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical and processing skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
