Sky UK Limited in Livingston is seeking a part-qualified accountant to lead month-end close and balance sheet integrity for assigned entities. You will liaise with offshore RTR and UK stakeholders, maintain strong controls, and support audits and statutory accounts.

The role requires experience with month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany balances, and ERP SAP. Hybrid working—2 days in the office weekly—offers flexibility in this central Livingston site.

Qualificações

• Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• Experience in month-end close, journals and balance sheet reconciliations in a large or complex organisation.
• Good understanding of double-entry accounting and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Clear communication with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, recharges and reclassifications.
• Ensure ledger results for assigned entities are complete, accurate and on time, and explain material movements to stakeholders.
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L analysis with commentary on variances.
• Own or review balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany balances; resolve mismatches.
• Run key financial controls, keep audit-ready evidence, and support audits and statutory accounts.
