Job summary

Places for People is seeking a capable leader to manage a field-based team across a multi-trade environment. You will oversee coaching, performance reviews, and training needs, while driving improvements in delivery, data analysis, and customer satisfaction.

You will ensure health and safety compliance, manage scheduling systems, and travel nationally to mobilise new contracts and services as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading field-based teams in a multi-trade/technical setting.
• Strong coaching and people-management skills.
• Experience interpreting data to drive improvements.
• Familiarity with workforce management or scheduling systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
• Experience handling HR processes and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a field team, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Coach team members and identify training needs to address underperformance.
• Ensure high-quality work and meet customer expectations; resolve complaints.
• Support operational delivery and optimise workforce systems and scheduling.
• Monitor job allocation and completion rates; undertake technical inspections.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and health & safety policies.
• Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders; share best practices.
