The ideal candidate will build deep relationships with partners, assess and negotiate complex risks, and contribute to underwriting profitability through portfolio analysis and technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience handling complex, higher-value commercial risks including premiums up to £100k.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles across a broad range of products.
• Ability to influence agents and brokers with expert guidance.
• Experience reviewing portfolio performance and identifying trends.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term relationships with Midlands partners as underwriting expert.
• Review and decide on complex commercial risks, negotiating policy terms.
• Support partners to improve underwriting knowledge and standards.
• Lead large account reviews and analyze portfolio performance.
