Job summary

Greystar in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to oversee maintenance tasks across residential properties, ensuring building standards, health and safety, compliance and asset functionality.

You will manage work orders, supervise contractors, monitor building services, support turnover processes, and provide monthly reporting on PPM and contractor performance. On-call availability for emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance across domestic/residential environments.
• Ability to develop and maintain risk assessments and preventative maintenance systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to supervise contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and ensures completion of work orders from resident requests to standards.
• Monitors building services to ensure plant/equipment reach expected lifespans.
• Notifies Facilities Manager of major defects and costed actions.
• Supports turnover by inspecting apartments and coordinating maintenance work.
• Liaises with external stakeholders to ensure compliance and safety.
