Job summary

IWFM in Birmingham is seeking a Facilities Manager / Senior Engineer to deliver technically focused FM consultancy services for a range of clients. You will work with clients to interpret requirements and provide informed advice on existing portfolios, maintenance strategies and lifecycle performance.

You will lead M&E surveys, asset registers, tenders and reports, while managing budgets and programs. A background in building services, with Chartered status, and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy within facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of the FM market and M&E building services.
• Experience designing, installing and maintaining M&E building services.
• Ability to manage mechanical/electrical assets and services.
• Project management, planning, costing and programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking M&E condition surveys across existing building stock.
• Producing and developing asset registers.
• Preparing maintenance specifications and tender documentation.
• Auditing existing maintenance contracts and service arrangements.
• Advising design teams on operation, access and maintenance requirements.
• Managing projects from initial client brief through to delivery.
• Producing high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Managing project fees, budgets, programmes and commercial performance.
• Building relationships with internal teams and external clients.
• Traveling to client sites across the UK with occasional overseas travel.
