Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking a Technical Design Manager / Senior Façades Designer for our Potters Bar office in Hertfordshire. You will lead the design and technical coordination of façade and recladding projects, and mentor members of the design team to deliver compliant, buildable solutions.

The role requires high-rise recladding expertise, experience preparing and coordinating BSR submissions, and strong collaboration with architects, engineers, manufacturers and site teams to resolve

Qualifications

• Previous façade design experience within the high-rise recladding sector.
• Experience Preparing, Coordinating Or Supporting BSR Submissions.

Responsibilities

• Managing the façade design process across high-rise recladding projects.
• Producing and reviewing detailed façade designs using AutoCAD.
• Coordinating the design of rainscreen cladding systems, brick slips, EWI, decking, curtain walling and windows.
• Supporting the preparation, coordination and delivery of BSR submissions.
• Managing and supporting members of the Design Team.
• Reviewing drawings and technical information produced by internal designers and external specialists.
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced members of the team.
• Coordinating architects, façade consultants, engineers, manufacturers and specialist subcontractors.
• Developing construction details and ensuring designs are practical, buildable and compliant.
