Job summary

Building Careers UK is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor for a landmark façade development in Liverpool. You will take full commercial ownership of a £15 million package, drive procurement to final account, and manage interim valuations, variations, and cost forecasts.

You’ll pro-actively manage subcontractors, cost reporting, and risk while building strong relationships with clients and project teams to ensure successful delivery on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Experience working on façade, cladding, curtain walling, glazing, or building envelope projects would be highly advantageous.
• Alternatively, experience working for a Main Contractor delivering major construction projects will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of commercial management, cost reporting, procurement, and final accounts.
• Experience producing CVRs, valuations, and cost forecasts.
• Excellent understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and the Commercial Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Supporting the successful delivery of a landmark façade development.

Our client is a specialist façade contractor delivering high-quality external envelope solutions across the UK. With extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke façade systems, they have established an excellent reputation for delivering technically complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Working with leading developers, principal contractors, and consultants, the business delivers a wide range of cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen, glazing, and building envelope packages across the residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Taking full commercial responsibility for a £15 million façade package based in Liverpool

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry


• Experience working on façade, cladding, curtain walling, glazing, or building envelope projects would be highly advantageous


• Alternatively, experience working for a Main Contractor delivering major construction projects will also be considered


• Strong knowledge of commercial management, cost reporting, procurement, and final accounts


• Experience producing CVRs, valuations, and cost forecasts


• Excellent understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts


• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills


• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management


• Full UK Driving Licence
