Job summary

Box Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for an office-based role in Manchester. The candidate will join a specialist Building Envelope Solutions provider delivering façade and fire wall remediation, building envelope solutions, and refurbishment projects nationwide.

Role involves leading cost estimation, tender submissions, and pre-construction activities with experience in façade remediation and through-wall construction work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within facade remediation, building envelope, cladding, or related construction sectors or QS/Quantity surveying experience.
• Solid knowledge of system performance and requirements to meet building safety standards.
• PCSA project pricing.
• Good prelim strategy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects valued up to £10 million.
• Managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
• Interrogate and understand FRAEWs reports.
• Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Supporting projects through the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) process.
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Undertaking occasional site visits to assess project requirements and gather information.
