Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Facade Estimator for their commercial team. The role involves producing accurate tenders for rainscreen cladding, façade refurbishment, overcladding and remediation projects across commercial and public sector markets, with responsibilities spanning take-offs, costings and client liaison.

You will review drawings, analyze specifications, and price various façade systems while managing multiple tenders to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within façades, rainscreen cladding or specialist envelope.
• Strong knowledge of rainscreen, ventilated cladding and refurbishment systems.
• Experience with SFS, Kingframe, Metsec, Kingspan, Trespa, Equitone, Rockpanel, brick slips, terracotta or aluminium cassette systems.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong commercial and numerical skills.
• Good knowledge of estimating software and Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, tenders, take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
• Review drawings, specifications, surveys and project requirements.
• Price rainscreen, ventilated cladding, overcladding, curtain walling and composite panel systems.
• Liaise with clients, architects, suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Attend site surveys and identify refurbishment, buildability and fire-safety requirements.
• Assess tender risks and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Support project teams with budgets, procurement, variations and final accounts.
• Manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.
