Purobuild in London is seeking a Senior Façade Consultant to lead and deliver façade projects across high-profile schemes, providing specialist design advice and driving technical delivery within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience in façade engineering or consultancy with strong knowledge of curtain walling and external wall systems, plus proven reporting and client-facing skills. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are offered.

The Opportunity

I am currently working with a leading global property and consultancy business that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Façade Consultant to join their established London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior façade professional looking to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects while taking greater responsibility for technical delivery, client relationships and project leadership.

The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of building consultants, engineers, architects and property professionals, providing specialist façade advice to a range of clients across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Façade Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and delivering façade consultancy projects from initial instruction through to completion.
• Providing specialist technical advice relating to façade design, performance, defects, compliance and remediation.
• Undertaking and overseeing façade inspections, condition surveys and technical assessments.
• Reviewing façade systems, construction details, specifications and design information.
• Preparing and reviewing detailed technical reports, specifications and client documentation.
• Advising clients on façade defects, maintenance, repair and remediation strategies.
• Supporting technical due diligence, acquisition surveys and building condition assessments.
• Working closely with clients, architects, contractors, developers and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Managing project programmes, deliverables and technical quality.
• Taking responsibility for client communication and developing strong long-term relationships.
• Supporting the development of junior members of the façade team.
• Contributing to business development, fee proposals and identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years' experience within façade engineering, façade consultancy or a closely related discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing, masonry and external wall systems.
• Proven experience delivering façade inspections, technical assessments and consultancy projects.
• Strong understanding of relevant UK façade standards, regulations and industry guidance.
• Experience producing high-quality technical reports and presenting findings to clients.
• Strong understanding of façade defects, failure mechanisms and remediation solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage projects and work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A relevant degree in Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Physics, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Experience with CWCT, EWS1, FRAEW, PAS 9980, fire performance, thermal performance, façade remediation and technical due diligence would be highly advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), IEng, MIStructE, MICE or membership of a relevant professional institution would also be beneficial.
