Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Preston seeks an Early Years SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision, delivering personalised learning for children with EHCPs in their crucial early years.

You will work with a supportive team to help pupils build confidence, communication and independence, while celebrating every achievement along the way. The role offers CPD and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching within EYFS or KS1.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils' EHCP outcomes and learning needs.
• Create engaging, sensory-rich learning experiences that capture pupils' interests and encourage participation.
• Support children with a range of additional needs including Autism, complex learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and developmental delays.
• Develop positive routines and strategies that promote emotional wellbeing and readiness to learn.
• Assess, track and celebrate pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
• Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to support pupils.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support learning at home and in school.
