Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist educational setting in Preston to recruit an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Years SEN Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is committed to providing a positive and engaging learning experience for children with additional needs during their crucial early years development.

Working within a supportive specialist team, you will deliver personalised learning opportunities that help pupils build confidence,

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils' EHCP outcomes and learning needs.
• Create engaging, sensory-rich learning experiences that encourage participation.
• Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism and complex learning delays.
• Develop routines and strategies to promote emotional wellbeing and readiness to learn.
• Assess, track and celebrate pupil progress; adapt teaching as needed.
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom and collaborate with TAs, therapists and professionals.
