Marks Sattin in Leeds is seeking a finance professional to lead group reporting and consolidation activities under IFRS, coordinating month-end cycles and external reporting.

You will ensure compliance with group policies, manage statutory and tax reporting, coordinate audits, and drive governance, controls and continuous improvement across the function. Collaboration with local teams and advisory partners is essential.

Responsabilités

• Support the preparation and delivery of Group IFRS consolidated financial statements.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end consolidation cycles with timely outputs.
• Prepare and review disclosures, reconciliations and analysis for external reporting.
• Review consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with group policies, reporting standards and governance.
• Assist with implementing new accounting standards and evolving obligations.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements across Group entities.
• Work with local finance teams and external advisors on country reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and filing requirements.
• Manage reporting timetables and deadlines.
• Prepare schedules and documentation to support statutory reporting.
• Drive consistency and efficiency across statutory reporting.
• Coordinate corporate tax compliance activities, including tax returns.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and review deliverables.
• Support tax provisions and disclosures within Group and statutory statements.
• Assist with responses to tax authority enquiries, audits and information requests.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on reporting obligations.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during audits.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of audit requests and supporting information.
• Monitor audit progress and ensure queries are addressed effectively.
• Support the planning and execution of statutory and Group audit activities.
• Work collaboratively with auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical accounting and reporting matters.
• Maintain a robust control environment across consolidation, external reporting, statutory reporting and tax activities.
• Ensure reporting processes are documented with governance and audit trails.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance reporting quality.
• Support development and enhancement of reporting systems and control frameworks.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programmes across the function.
