Job summary

Shoosmiths is recruiting a Senior PR & External Communications Manager to lead the firm’s external profile and media strategy. The role drives proactive reputation-building across earned, owned, social and paid channels and ensures messaging is integrated with campaigns and leadership narratives.

Working with Marketing Operations, Brand and Creative, Editorial and wider teams, you will govern strategy, planning and measurement to demonstrate impact and ROI across UK markets.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in external communications, media relations or corporate reputation.
• Experience leading social media strategy and integrated campaigns.
• Ability to shape narratives and align earned, owned, social and paid channels.
• Proven ability to advise senior leaders and manage brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the external communications and social media strategy with clear plans and reporting rhythms.
• Own Shoosmiths' social media governance, channel approach and measurement.
• Develop proactive media, reputation and profile-building activity across diverse media.
• Lead communications for major announcements, campaigns, partnerships and issues management.
• Ensure PR and social activity are integrated with campaigns and thought leadership.
• Manage budgets for agencies, paid media and events, with value-focused governance.
