Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an Exchange Customer Engineer in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. The role focuses on Microsoft Exchange Hybrid engineering with extensive experience in Exchange Online and on-premises deployments.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing and supporting Hybrid configurations, DAG management and secure mail routing, plus PowerShell automation and troubleshooting across mail flow, Autodiscover and connectivity in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of overall IT experience.
• Solid Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises experience.
• Proven experience with Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Active SC Security Clearance.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing, technical writing, presentation and training skills.
• Experience in enterprise/customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE and Exchange Online.
• Design, implement and maintain Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW) and hybrid mail flow.
• Manage DAGs, mailbox databases, transport services, connectors, certificates and virtual directories.
• Troubleshoot mail flow, Autodiscover, Outlook connectivity, mailbox access and authentication issues.
• Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, shared/resource mailboxes, distribution groups and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Configure mail flow rules, retention, archiving and compliance policies.
• Support Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Defender for Office 365.
• Support Exchange migrations between On-Premises and Exchange Online.
• Manage SPF, DKIM and DMARC configurations.
• Use PowerShell for administration and automation.
