Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an experienced Exchange Customer Engineer to join our enterprise IT team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on Microsoft Exchange Hybrid engineering across Exchange Online and On-Premises, with responsibilities spanning architecture, administration, troubleshooting, migration, and hybrid messaging support.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of overall IT experience.
• Solid Exchange Online and On-Premises experience.
• Proven experience with Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Active SC Security Clearance.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience working in enterprise/customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE and Exchange Online.
• Design, implement and maintain Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot HCW, hybrid mail flow and secure mail routing.
• Manage DAG, mailbox databases, transport services, connectors, certificates and virtual directories.
• Troubleshoot mail flow, Autodiscover, Outlook connectivity, mailbox access and authentication issues.
• Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, shared/resource mailboxes, distribution groups and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Configure mail flow rules, retention, archiving and compliance policies.
• Support Exchange Online Protection and Defender for Office 365.
• Support Exchange migrations between On-Premises and Exchange Online.
• Manage SPF, DKIM and DMARC configurations.
• Use PowerShell / Exchange Management Shell for administration and automation.
