Job summary

UTAC Millbrook is seeking an energetic Event Manager to lead the Event Management, Venues & Catering team. You will oversee planning and execution of customer events across Millbrook facilities, balancing client relationships with operational delivery.

Reporting to the Head of Events, Tracks & Rental (UK), you will drive revenue growth, manage resources, and ensure compliance with health and safety while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A proven background in Venue / Event Management, capable of dealing with clients at all levels.
• Proven track record in the automotive event and/or motorsport industry.
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics to explain on-track capabilities to customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Uphold, safeguard and promote UTAC’s values of integrity, innovation and expertise.
• Provide weekly briefing of Event and Sales activity to Head of Events, Tracks & Rental.
• Respond quickly to inbound enquiries with Business Development colleagues.
• Keep the team motivated and focused at all times.
• Maintain discipline and a productive working environment within the department.
• Increase sales revenue margins through upselling while controlling costs.
• Develop and optimise operational processes for efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate UTAC Millbrook event facilities, ensuring health & safety, security and maintenance.
• Manage and evolve the Event Management team, including appraisals and recruitment.
• Oversee holiday allocations and timesheet/clock card checks for direct reports.
• Ensure the Event Management process is followed by all team members.
• Attend industry exhibitions to promote UTAC Millbrook events calendar.
• Act in accordance with UTAC staff behaviours at all times.
