Job summary

Enable Leisure & Culture seeks an experienced Events Operations and Venues Manager to lead day-to-day operational management across multiple parks, venues and outdoor event sites. You will ensure compliant, safe and well-presented spaces, with hands-on leadership during live events.

The role requires proven venue operations experience, staff supervision, and strong problem-solving in fast-paced environments. A proactive, collaborative approach and flexibility with hours are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Proven venue management experience.
• Experience in line management and staff development.
• Experience delivering events and operational logistics.
• Ability to write Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to venues.
• Willingness to work weekends, early mornings and late nights.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of all Events-run venues.
• Oversee staff rotas, recruitment and training for casual workforce.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with central operations teams.
• Oversee venue equipment procurement and asset management.
• Manage venue contractors and oversee repair works in event spaces.
• Deliver hands-on operational leadership during live events.
