Job description

Senior Events Officer (15 month Maternity Cover)

Employer: The Law Society

Location: London

Salary: Up to £35,479 per annum + 3% flex fund after 3 months

The Role

The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of high-profile commercial conferences and events at the Law Society. You will oversee up to four conferences simultaneously, ensuring high professional standards, effective logistics, and smooth onsite execution. The role involves end-to-end logistics, budget management, collaboration with internal stakeholders, volunteer committees, and assisting the Conference Producer with developing event content and post-event evaluation.

This is an exciting and varied role where your expertise and skills will be used to make a real difference for our members, the rule of law, and access to justice.

This is a part-time role. Post holders are expected to work 28 hours, 4 days a week.

  • Significant demonstrable experience of conference and event management.
  • Experience in producing, managing, and reporting on budgets and forecasts.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate and engage positively across both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
