Job summary

Levy UK & Ireland, part of Compass Group, is seeking an Operations Manager for SEC to lead catering operations at high-profile events. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver food and beverage services, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and maintain strong client relationships from setup through de-brief.

The role requires at least 2 years in a management position with event P&L accountability, excellent communication, and solid IT and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a Management role with event P&L accountability in high-volume quality food service and/or conference and event catering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong IT skills.
• Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Food Safety in a foodservice environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to increase sales & profitability.
• Able to motivate and inspire people at all levels.
• Fully flexible and adaptable to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Consult effectively with senior stakeholders, contractors, and partners.
• Lead operator liaison for SEC stakeholder communication.
• Maintain day-to-day contact with the venue client for close collaboration.
• Deliver confident, clear briefings and communicate strategy to teams.
• Support the sales team to develop bids and sign off agreements for operational contracts.
• Oversee rostering and labour scheduling with HR for cost control.
• Monitor COS, VPM and liquor yields to aid decisions.
• Ensure non-live setup days; ready catering areas for client rounds.
• Collaborate with Logistics Manager on stock and rotas.
• Promote CSR, sustainability, equality and diversity initiatives.
