When a growing events consultancy hands full ownership of its operations function to one person, the role they create matters. This Senior Operations Manager position gives you the department, the team and the strategy, with a direct line to the Director.
A specialist events consultancy focused on crowd and traffic management for live events, covering a variety of national venue shows, major outdoor festivals, sporting and agricultural events. Team deployments range from a handful of staff to 250 on a single show. The portfolio is varied, the culture is relaxed without being unambitious, and the Senior Operations Manager who joins will find a team with motivated, supportive and driven employees.
As Senior Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the department end to end, from planning through to on-site delivery.
The right person for this Senior Operations Manager role will have a proven background in large-scale live event operations and the confidence to lead a team independently.
You will have hands-on experience managing large casual or zero-hours teams across live events, a grounding in health and safety (a formal qualification is preferable), and strong written and verbal communication skills. A valid UK driving licence with no more than three points and the ability to drive a company van are required. Comfort with weekend site work roughly twice a month is essential. Experience in festival logistics, traffic management planning or CAD is beneficial but not essential, and backgrounds in crowd management, venue operations or live events project management are all welcome.
In return, you will step into a Senior Operations Manager role with real autonomy and a portfolio most operations professionals would be excited to work on.
