Exhibition Centre Liverpool is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead and deliver high-profile events from concept to completion at Liverpool’s premier venue. You will manage budgets, timelines, and client relationships, ensuring top-quality experiences in a fast-paced live environment.

The role requires strong leadership, meticulous planning, and the ability to drive revenue opportunities while upholding safety and compliance across all events.

Qualifications

• Delivering high-profile or large-scale events in a dynamic venue or events environment.
• Managing multiple events simultaneously while keeping exceptional attention to detail.
• Working closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to create memorable experiences.
• Managing budgets and identifying opportunities to drive additional revenue.
• Navigating health, safety, and compliance requirements with confidence.
• Staying calm under pressure and solving problems quickly in live event scenarios.
• Building strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and delivery of events end-to-end, ensuring every detail is covered and executed brilliantly.
• Acting as the central hub between clients and all service partners, keeping communication clear and consistent.
• Creating detailed event plans, schedules, and safety documentation to support flawless delivery.
• Taking charge on event days, overseeing operations, teams, and safety to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
• Working closely with catering, production, sales, and marketing teams to bring events to life.
• Hosting site visits, client meetings, and tastings to fully understand and exceed expectations.
• Monitoring performance, gathering feedback, and driving continuous improvement after every event.
• Ensuring all events meet strict safety, legal, and operational standards at all times.
• Handling challenges and customer queries with professionalism, speed, and confidence.
• Spotting opportunities to enhance events and maximise revenue through upselling and added value services.
