Who You Are

We're looking for a Senior Event Manager who is looking to build and share their skills and experience within an agency environment.

This role is ideal for someone who has 4-6 years’ experience working on live events from concept through to completion, dealing directly with mid/senior level clients, stakeholders and working with different departments within the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage your workload, delivering and progressing with projects that you are leading and managing the project team involved
  • To manage several high-profile projects through to completion, working with different departments within the business and sourcing external suppliers where needed
  • Leverage the expertise of the team to advance and execute top-notch projects, while upholding orderly project administration through timesheets and job management procedures
  • Maintain and run project team meetings where needed, brief key departments and ensure internal comms channels stay open throughout project delivery
  • Expand the events department, with regards to workload, billing, and revenue, in collaboration with other senior members
  • Liaise with the Event Director, Head of Production and Creative Director to update on projects and get input at key milestones
  • Establish a reliable working rapport with both clients and suppliers by formulating briefs, status reports, and summaries as necessary on a daily/weekly basis
  • Manage project profitability, with regular review and knowledge of project spend and resource requirements
  • Run detailed finance documents and reports, managing the process from budget creation through to invoicing and reconciliation
  • Create and maintain strong measurement plans for evaluating the success of each event, including a comprehensive evaluation of project outcomes
  • Manage resources to ensure projects are completed on time and to an exceptional standard
  • Establish and oversee client relationships, managing project enquiries and updates, and ensuring necessary actions are taken, such as updating and distributing meeting minutes and status documents
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and take responsibility and initiative on tasks given, and have the ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time
  • Grow and manage the team, in terms of skillset, confidence, volume of work, billings and revenue
  • Assist the brand brewery team in general office duties and help out in other departments and areas of the business when required
  • Professionally represent brand brewery at all times

Skills

  • A passion for the events industry with a can-do attitude and a desire to be in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in line management and managing a project team
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to share accurate project updates and requirements, both to the client and team members
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build trusted and valued professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent project management and communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience working on presentations and pitches, with some experience or knowledge in strategic idea development and concept creation
  • Capacity to retain complete accountability and oversight of numerous and diverse projects in a fast-paced setting, from the brief stage to completion, with responsible management of budgets

Tools

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook/ Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint and equivalent Mac software
  • Knowledge of Monday.com, preferred
  • Basic understanding of social media and communication channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)

Experience

  • Minimum 5-6 years’ agency experience working on both large-scale (500+ pax) and small-scale events, dealing directly with high-level clients – agency experience is a must for this role, with international events experience beneficial
  • Healthy experience with events like management conferences, internal employee engagement events, sales and training conferences, themed events both in UK and in international locations
  • Experience working with internal design & creative teams as well as external suppliers ranging from event production teams through to various venues
  • Ability to run several large projects from concept through to completion
  • Experience working on project budgets, including contributing to estimate builds and tracking project profitability
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
