Job summary

Advancing People Ltd is recruiting a Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer in Bedford for hands-on development of electronics used in premium EV charging products. You will own the hardware lifecycle from circuit design to validation, working closely with firmware, software, mechanical, production and quality teams.

Applicants should have a degree in electronics and a proven track record in analogue and digital design, Altium Designer expertise, and experience with EMC and safety

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience.
• Proficient schematic capture and PCB design.
• Expert level Altium Designer.
• Experience with mains-powered products and EMC/testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBs and related electronic systems for EV charging products.
• Create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts and engineering docs.
• Lead component selection considering performance, reliability and cost.
• Perform prototype bring-up, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Support EMC, safety, and product certification activities.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, production and QA teams.
