Job summary

A commodity trading firm is seeking an ETD Operations Analyst to join their London team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling exchange-traded derivatives, monitoring operational exceptions, and generating reports to enhance performance tracking. A minimum of 5 years in a similar role is required, with experience in the energy or commodities trading sectors preferred.

Job description

Our client, a commodity trading firm, is looking for an ETD Operations Analyst to join their team in London.

Responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of exchange-traded derivatives, resolving discrepancies according to established procedures.
2. Monitoring open exceptions across systems and resolving them within defined timelines.
3. Maintaining and validating standing data for all derivative products, ensuring correct application of clearing and execution fees.
4. Generating management reports and operational statistics to support performance tracking.
5. Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting workflow enhancements, controls, and contingency plans.

Required experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations, trade support, or reconciliation roles.
• Experience with ETD products such as futures, options, swaps, and CFDs.
• Understanding of clearing, settlement, and margin processes.
• Proven interaction with Exchanges, Clearing Houses, and Brokers.
• Experience in a trading environment, preferably within energy or commodities sectors, with direct exposure to traders and commercial teams.
