Job summary

Peace Recruitment Group Ltd is partnering with a leading Tier 1 contractor in the North West to recruit a Senior Estimator. You will drive competitive tenders, work across pre-construction teams and ensure robust, achievable submissions for high-value projects.

Ideal candidates will have strong tendering experience in main contracting, with exposure to Education, Defence or Infrastructure being advantageous. A relevant qualification is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Extensive tendering experience for main contracting projects.
• Ability to prepare cost plans from first principles.
• Knowledge of education/defence/infrastructure sectors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tenders for major construction projects.
• Prepare detailed estimates from first principles and cost plans.
• Review drawings, specs and tender docs for accuracy.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries and valuations.
• Present recommendations to senior management during reviews.
• Mentor junior estimators within the team.
