Job summary

Sunblink in Kent is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel and architectural metalwork projects. The role requires reviewing tender inquiries, drawings and specs, performing material take-offs, and liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes.

You will identify risks, prepare detailed tenders, and work with internal teams to ensure competitive, viable estimates.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating structural steel or architectural metalwork.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender docs.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Knowledge of material costs, fabrication and installation.
• Confident negotiating with suppliers and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for structural steel and architectural metalwork.
• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications.
• Complete take-offs and assess costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes.
• Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and tender submissions.
