Cornerstone Project Source Ltd is recruiting for a Permanent Estimator / Senior Estimator in Kent to work within the pre-construction team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for metalwork projects including structural steel, balconies, railings and glass systems.

The role requires collaboration with clients, design teams and project managers, with duties spanning cost analysis, value engineering and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, with focus on architectural and structural metalwork (Essential)
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications and industry standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Analyse project drawings, specifications and other documentation to assess project requirements
• Quantify materials, labour and other resources needed for metalwork projects
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment costs and overheads
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids for cost-effectiveness and quality
• Participate in project meetings, providing cost-related insights and contributing to value engineering
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing data and project documentation
• Monitor project costs throughout construction and provide updates to stakeholders

Job description

Cornerstone Project Source Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading structural steel and architectural metalwork specialist for a Permanent Estimator / Senior Estimator in Kent. Working within the pre-construction team, you will collaborate closely with clients, the design team and project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates for metalwork projects of varying scale and complexity, including structural steelwork, balconies, staircases, metal balustrades, railings, glass systems, decking and sheet metalwork.

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Location: Kent

Duties
